FAQs
Unfortunately not! The House you're assigned to upon subscription to The Dead Letters Society is permanent, however, if there's a specific House you want to be sorted into, please get in contact with me through thedeadletterssociety@gmail.com before your first delivery is set to arrive. I can't promise anything as the delivery may have already gone out, but if not, I have no problem with assigning you to a specific House of your choosing! Just please make sure to include some identifying information (if you're contacting me from an email which you did not use to make the subscription payment).
Can I change Houses to get the ephemera from that House?
Yes, new stories will be created! I'll be choosing the genre & story based on customer feedback, and also through a newsletter survey I'll send out.
Is there just the Persephone story? Or will we have more?
There are four Houses each subscriber gets sorted into once they subscribe to one of the stories from The Dead Letters Society. I based them on the four elements (fire, air, water, earth), and each one is aesthetically & symbolically unique. Depending on which House you're in, you will get unique collectible items, access to group chats, 'influencer' packages, cross-house events & missions that'll give each House points (the winner of which will unlock exclusive content). In the future, I'm also looking forward to organising 'influencer' events for each of the Houses, and even running stories which will depend on each House's actions.
What are the Houses we're sorted into?
Ephemera is anything 'discardable', things like tickets, menus, bookmarks, perfume papers... my goal was to make the story as immersive as possible, and as the project develops I'll reinvest into it to add even more things & experiences. Depending on which House you've been sorted in (which happens automatically once you subscribe), you will also get 'special' deliveries that the subscribers from other Houses won't.
What do you mean by ephemera?
Right now, I ship only to subscribers based in the EU and the UK, however, I will expand internationally soon. Make sure you join the newsletter below to get a notification for when it'll be available for you.
Where do you ship?
It's delivered completely through post! Once I receive confirmation of your subscription, your first letter batch will be prepared for you and sent. The letters are typically sent on Mondays and Wednesdays of every week. You'll get a confirmation email once your first delivery has been mailed, and you can expect it to arrive within 3-12 working days.
